Description
This is a typical popular public beach. Crowded, expect someone to step on you at any time, many vendors bothering with different products, etc. But it wouldn't be so popular if it had nothing to offer. Powdery soft sand, the beautiful light blue water, and many activities.
I've been here twice. Both times just for a day. The first time was memorable. I caught a windy day, but I can remember I didn't even want to blink while sitting on the sand and watching the most beautiful sea I've ever seen, at that time.
After ten years, here I am again. I was hoping for the same scene, but I was disappointed. I don't want to say it was dirty. The shallow water was brown, full of seaweed. Not pleasant for eyes, but we have to appreciate nature and its circle of life.
Playa del Carmen is famous for scuba diving, snorkeling, parasailing, kayaking, and canoeing, kiteboarding, and kitesurfing, too. Pretty much, everything. It's an active town and an active beach. Fun is first on the list.
